Make money on Ebay selling coupons!

Posted Tuesday, November 20, 2007 by momscashblog | 5 Comments so far

Yes, you read that correctly…you can actually make money online by selling COUPONS that you get for free. I used to just throw those pesky things away and considered them junk but now they are valuable to me for two reasons. I save money by using them, the Sunday newspaper always has the best ones like FREEBIE coupons and $1-$8 off of something cool. Also, if there are coupons that you don’t want to use but the product looks appealing or you think a lot of people use ithat product featured on the coupon…simply go to Ebay and sell it! I know it sounds crazy but people do this everyday. I will show you some exapmles here.

Gymboree Coupons

Baby Formula Coupons

Misc. Food Coupons

Home Depot Coupons

Victoria’s Secret Coupons

There are many more, but just to give you an idea, they all sell and yes you get coupons for free right?! Well go start snipping and selling…make sure not to add any extras to your Ebay auctions or you will end up spending more for the ebay listing than you will make…It is good to sell them in “lots” that way your selling price is much higher unless it is a hot coupon. You can research them with my Ebay search box located here on Moms Cash Blog too! Just thought I would share this interesting idea with you guys…

Yes it’s true coupons do very well on ebay,I sell them from time to time on there myself but I must admit I do more buying of them than I do selling.Like if there is a brand of something that I use alot of then I will go on there and buy like 20 or 40 of that same coupon. But definately be sure you look at the expiration dates and don’t buy more than you think you can use before they expire. It seems as though most coupons now don’t have a very long expiration date like they did years ago.And you don’t want to waste money buying more coupons than what you are going to use.And also if you are selling coupons on ebay…be very careful on how you word your auction because you aren’t allowed to say that you are selling them because that isn’t allowed and they will cancel your auction. So just be careful! But it can definately be to your advantage to use ebay for your coupons whether you are buying or selling!!!

Great tip. Be sure to read the rules of your ebay member agreement and/or the coupon itself – or you may end up getting your account canceled if you are not careful. In most cases you will need to post a disclaimer that the bidder is paying for the “shipping, handling, and services” you are providing by retrieving and sending the coupon -vs. actually buying the “coupon itself”. I am no lawyer, but I think if phrased correctly you are OK and really helping others – so I doubt you will get in much trouble.

PS: ValPak is another great source for Airline coupons from time to time. I’ve seen and sold them on ebay myself.

PPS: Here’s a free coupon (no ebay necessary) to my site: “Rmovies5vase” will get you $5 OFF & A FREE VASE + Personalized card you write on any Grower Fresh Flower order.
