Free blog traffic and free advertising
Entrecard.com is a great place to get your blog some exposure and best of all…it is free and easy to use. I actually have a lot of fun with Entrecard. It kind of reminds me of Pogs from back in the day…Do you guys remember playing, collecting & trading pogs, LOL : )Here is how it works: Go over to Entrecard and sign up for free, it takes only a minute or two…Next you can either create a custom 125 x 125 pixel Entrecard or you can use a few free ones that they available to use right away. Next go drop off your Entrecard to a bunch of other cool folks like you, who are listed in the Entrecard network. Once you drop off your Entrecard for free, they will be able to see the card you left them when they sign into their Entrecard inbox (provided.) Next, that person will most likely come drop off their card too or at least go take a glance at your blog associated with your custom Entrecard. Now here is where it gets fun ~ they have what they call Entrecard credits. I guess it is a lot like Monopoly money. Here are how credits work…
1. You earn 1 credit every time you drop your card for someone else.
2. You earn 1 credit every time someone else drops their card for you.
3. You earn credits every time someone advertises on your widget.
Once you have anywhere from 2-200 credits you can actually buy advertising space on the blog of your choice (as long as they are in the Entrecard network) with your Entrecard credits. You will get one whole day on the Entrecard widget of the blogger whom you choose. A FREE (no real cash out of pockets) one day advertising 125 x 125 spot on a blog like JohnChow sounds pretty appetizing to me considering he is a pro blogger and has an amazing page rank and following. You can earn enough credits in just an hour or so to get an ad like that guys! Now we are cookin’ with grease eh?! I agree, definitely addicting and helpful. One thing to note is that you may see a majority of the traffic coming from those people who are just dropping their cards off. While that doesn’t necessarily mean they aren’t checking your entries out or subscribing, it may not be quite as targeted as other means. Still, so far I think it’s a great resource for all bloggers to incorporate.
Yes it is addicting, I finally put it on my site…was bouncing around from blog to blog before that. Now to earn those points, I’ve seen a few I wouldn’t mind buying. So far I’ve only had 21 people visit my site. Any tips to driving the traffic?

I have about 25 people and my entrecard backed up for 9days within an hour at entrecard. Good idea. I am not sure if it could bring in the high volume traffic, but it is worth a shot. Every little bit counts. I wish I could get my fiance to start a blog, but she really isn’t interested.
