Ever M Famous… I also looked at your blog and I have to chime in with Robert…

I think you have 2 choices. Either just go with the sex full on and forget abut Google, if that’s your passion. Find the type of soft porn ads that fit your blog… OR you could tone it down a bit and make it a “relationship” blog. If you really want Google Adsense you’ll have to to mainstream it a little. (Just using the word “porn” in your titles can be scaring Google, because many blogs use adult language and talk about sex in their posts.)

I Wanna Be Just Like You Robert!

I’m new to blogging and just like you I really feel (know) I can make some decent money doing it. I have gained a wealth of info, reading on everthing from affiliate programs to pinging and everything in between.

But I have a serious problem.

According to Google AdSense I can’t write about my passion because it has “potentially sensitive, negative, or non-family safe content, including potentially mature or adult content.” So I will never have appropiate ads running on my blog and if no one clicks those ads, I don’t make any $$$$!

What do I do now if my blog is mature (not pornographic) and I want to make money blogging?

Sorry for the long comment. Thanks for any help you or anyone can give.

Deb… the two blogs that he keeps secret are what I call “Affiliate Niche Marketing”. The term affiliate marketing is tricky because it crosses over into different categories. Niche Marketing is when someone has a blog that sells one specific product (and some call it affiliate marketing). Those blogs usually have no posts as it’s a blog used just for an advertisement. I haven’t done any online niche marketing, so I don’t know a lot about it, but I will have someone do a post on it as many people want to know how it’s done. Or I’ll find out myself how it’s done and do a post on it. Check back and I’ll have something on it soon.

Thanks Laura, and thanks for telling us about selling things online. I especially liked the “Everyplace I Sell” post.. it’s good to know about that (and the other things you post about). I have some left over merchandise from a specialty retail we had and I’m going to have to get it out of storage and get it ALL sold online now. As it is, my loyal customers call me and ask if I have this or that and if the orders big enough we meet at the storage place. lol Not a good way to be selling things so I better get on the ball and learn about selling online.

Shafar (and Robert), sorry about that title. I did it because I get quite a few e-mails from newcomers who are confused about affiliate marketing since that term gets used for ads and for niche affiliate marketing so I wanted them to know this was about ads with blogs and posts. (maybe I used the wrong wording) Robert is right though, I’ll be doing a little more on affiliates for the group of new bloggers out there who are thinking about blogging.
