JJ’S FIRST DAY AT WORK !!!!!

Posted Friday, May 2, 2008 by momscashblog | 35 Comments so far

I am so sorry to keep everyone waiting. I have read some of the comments and thanks for all them, I will try to answer some of them. Thanks neeshy.com for your comment “jj is a new blogger and things are probably a little hecitc for her.” New, hectic Hell I’m shaking in my boots. I only hope I can get through these next few days. Kyrsti has been training me and I do mean training I need everything she has inside that pretty little head of hers. She is one smart and savvy woman, but she had faith that I could do this so I have made my mind up that I will do it and hopefully do it well. I know I will have a few stumbles along the way but can only hope that you will all stick with me and help me out. I do want this MOMSCASHBLOG to be an interactive vehicle where we will help each other in our quest to make money blogging online. Earlier today I had a post all written and looked it over several times and thought it was good and ready to go out into the WorldWideWeb (that’s a scary thought) I hit the button Publish and it is not anywhere to be found. So much for the WWW, tonight when I get my tutoring from Krysti I hope she doesn’t give me a bad grade. I take notes but somewhere along the line I messed up, when I find out what I did wrong I will share with all of you. Hopefully you will also share your “first times” on blogging, publishing, or any of your other first. I had plans for my first post to tell you how I first began back in
December looking for a way to make money online. I had put in several searches and came up with many different ways to make money at home online by filling out surveys. I started to sign up for the surveys and would sit at the computer minutes upon minutes checking off the apporiate boxes. Then it would turn into hours and when one page had been checked off you hit next and then another page, there seemed to be no end. It was like a black hole-next-next well when I finally finished a couple of those surveys, I will tell you I have never received any money from any of the survey companies. I am sure a lot of you have gone down that survey road with little or no results. Let us all know about your experiences with surveys or any other money making scams on-line. You will see to the right that MCB has an ad for SURVEY SAVVY now this is one that I will be filling out and working on. I feel anything that Krysti has endorsed is worth all of us signing up for it. Even if it is only $20. here and there that will help all of us out one way or another. With the economy the way it is, gas prices and the rise in certain food product then we can all use any money that we can make. I just have issues with making $2.00 or .50 cents on filing out surveys for hours at a time. But let me explain that I never made any money from any of the surveys that I did fill out. As Krysti explained in her webcam I am new to the blogging world and I have so far made a grand total of 11cents. That’s it, honestly why would one kid about something so important as their income. lol I promise to tell you all the very interesting stories of how I made that 11cents on-line. I want to make mcb an interactive vehicle where we can all share our flips

or flops from online experiences. I just filled out the SURVEY SAVVY form tonight and it was very easy. I also saw that Krysti had made about $300.00 from filling out surveys and that was for a month! So I guess we had all better get right onto that and fill out the form for SURVEY SAVVY. As I had said I trust anything that Krysti endorses and this is definitly one of those endorsements. I also wanted to bring to your or anyones attention that if you click on the free tutorial above you will find an informative and an easy to follow guide on how to set up your own blog online. Blogging is a new way to make money online, I guess it’s not all that new but to some of us especially myself it is something I came upon in the last few months. If you click on the above tutorial on how to set up a blog then click onto Mr. Lincoln the shiny new penny and use your credit card or your debit card to pay your one cent you will get a host for only a penny after you enter the info.,codes ect. You are now on your way to starting your own blog and hopefully make money online. So please feel free to drop by and leave your comments or any suggestions that you would like to see on the new mcb. I am hoping that we will make this a community of bloggers who will help each other with the money, technical, content, and artistic ways of putting a great blog out to the world. Don’t forget to tune in again to hear about my very interesting story of how I made “now hang on don’t get too excited” a whopping big 11cents!!!!!! Yes you heard me right…don’t hate me for making money.

See ya,

JJ

Welcome…first suggestion…Do not post in BOLD as it is hard to read. You might want to separate your text into paragraphs as well. Good Luck!

I am curious- How much traffic are you receiving daily?

Ditto comment number one here.
You might also want to write your copy into
a ‘notepad’ document first with the line length
set appropriately.
When you show paragraphs in notepad they do come
out as planned in your blog.

To spell-check, just copy and paste into a ‘Word’
document or similar if you’re not confident about
your grammar.

Good luck with this blog. You’re a brave soul.

Pete.

I agree with Robert. Go easy on the bold type and pay more attention to punctuation. I was trying to read your post and found myself spending more time mentally correcting your grammar than actually reading the article. The less you make your readers “work”, the better.

Best of luck to you.

welcome to the blogging game JJ. just a few pieces of constructive criticism.

1. as mentioned by robert, turn of the bold font
2. blogging is about forming relationships right? well, u mentioned neeshy.com, so why not show her some link love and link to her blog?
3. before even making your first post, it would’ve been wise to update the about page with ur bio and pic…us readers have no idea who u are

Hi JJ,

Don’t worry about the mayhem; the dust will settle eventually. I’m sure we all appreciate that taking the helm of MCB is a big step.

It is a shame that you lost the epic tale of 11 cents! Is it possible that it was saved as a draft instead of being published? Just an idea.

Welcome to the blogosphere JJ!

I am glad I am not the onlyb one who has been scammed by those surveys. I keep getting e-mails telling me how to make money at home and I don’t believe anyone any more. Everyone talks about making money online but I don’t see how it can be done unless you are a movie star or something.

I am a 21 year old stay-at-home mom to a 6 month old baby girl. I am also in the search of good and legitimate ways of making money online because I can’t imagine leaving my baby to a stranger so that I can work all day.So I decided to start my own blog at http://www.tipsformommies.com and hoped to make money but most importantly share tips on what I love doing and help other moms the same way Krysti is helping other people.

I stumbled upon Moms Cash Blog and was ecstatic to find that someone was willing to share all of her secrets to other people who want to make money online. I had been reading all of Krystis posts and came here everyday. I was surprised to learn that she was selling her blog and a little bit disappointed, BUT when I realized that the new owner was learning about making money online and blogging, I was happier than ever!

You can trust that I will be on here every chance I get. We will all learn together. Welcome and thank you JJ!

Hi JJ – good luck with your new “job”! You’ve got some big shoes to fill – but you can do it! I do hope that you will post some videos, like Krysti did – that was so much fun, and brings this whole blog to life and makes it so much more personable.

Now, when it comes to surveys – I have been runing a surveys website for a couple of years. I have worked in market research myself, done mystery shopping and been a member of almost every single survey panel on the earth. Yes, I will agree – I do not believe that you can make a living out of sitting at home and ticking boxes all day long. Also – after a while, it can become tedious, and you do want to provide the best, most honest replies to all the market research panels that you are a member of. What I have found out is that it’s best to join 10-15 panels, see which ones send you the most relevant and fun surveys, and then stick with those, and take surveys when you have the time and are up for it. Once again – it will not make you rich, but it definitely adds up every month if you are consistent. SurveySavvy is great – as you can refer your friends and relatives, or your website visitors, and get life-long 2nd tier earnings for them. Now, again – it’s not much, but after a while, again, it adds up. I could go on…

Once again – good luck JJ!
All the best!

Hi–Welcome…

Yes–you need to change/update “About” page. Krysti should have told you. Thats one of the first thing you need to do.
And my suggestion is not to act too innocent. Be confident and don’t under estimate yourself.
You will need to do lots of research as well.
Blogging is not as easy as one thinks. Most of the bloggers out there claim that they are blogging because of passion that they have–LOL–Not really..only few of them do that. Majority of them is doing to make money and there is nothing wrong with that but being too money minded is also not good in a long term.
So bottom line is to first do some research and be confident and do not act too innocent.

Good Luck–

Hi JJ,
One more thing–take action on a timely manner. For instance it doesn’t take long to unbold(spelling??) your content.

Hello JJ,congrats on being the new owner of MomsCashBlog and a warm welcome to you!! Don’t let all this get to you because it will be overwhelming at first, just take it one step at a time and it’ll get easier. Also there are some great people here so don’t be afraid to ask for help because I know I am learning new things everyday. And Krysti has been a huge help to me and she has taught me so much and I was so shocked to hear that she was leaving. I know I will miss her greatly and hope that she keeps in touch with her original followers from the justin.tv days!! So Krysti if you are reading this…thanks for everything and I am going to miss you tons…please keep in touch!!! And to you JJ, you will do just fine and with Krysti helping you, things will be flowing in no time!! Is this your first blog? I’m a newbie myself so I completely understand where you are coming from! Welcome aboard JJ!!!!

JJ, loginn to your dashboard and go to manage->posts. if the draft was saved, it would be listed under your list of posts here with a status of unpublished. if you don’t see it, then i’m afraid it was never saved properly for some reason. also, try turning off the filter (by date and by category) if you have any enabled as this may be hiding your post. lastly, you can try using the search box and entering in a portion of the post title if your remember it.

Cmomment#5 Cathy D…Don’t worry, you are not the only person who has been scammed, but Iam here to tell you there really are ways to make money online.Have you ever thought of starting a blog? Many of the people who have made comments here have their own blogs and I suggest you take a look at them to see what it’s all about. Get yourself familiar with them, choose a subject and think about starting on of your own. It takes a little time and thought but you can do it and you can make money from the ads, and links.(Stick with my site and I will tell you more about that later! Promise.I am new to this too so we will learn together and we’ll let some of those “pros” help us both out! Good Luck jj

Welcome JJ. I’m a regular here. Hey, don’t bash surveys until you’ve tried them. I make a pretty good penny on them, you just have to know which ones are scams and which aren’t. I have the ones I use listed on my site so check it out on my survey page. Kristi was the first one I used to help me make money, she helped out quite a bit and I make ok monthly income now. Anyhow, good luck to you and I’ll be checking back to see how you’re doing!!

Hi Mommie, First let me start off by telling you I did not intend to dis all surveys. I felt rushed to get something out,and in doing so I made some mistakes as you can tell. The point I was trying to make is before I came to mcb I wasn’t finding the surveys that make money. I’m glad you have weeded out the non-paying surveys on your site. I’ll be sure to check them out and I’m sure everyone else will.
Thanks so much JJ

JJ – You need to post and post soon. This audience needs to find out more about you. Blogging is about building relationships. This audience here needs to know who has taken over. If you do not get to know the readers here this blog purchase will be a waste of time and money for you. Readers are going to dwindle down. If you need help ask. I am willing to help you change the “About Me” page offering advice and graphic design if needed. There are a few things that need to be changed her at MomsCashBlog to make it your own. Please do not take my comments wrong…I just fear that this blog is going to be driven into the ground if you do not “get on the ball”.

Wow! That last comment is one rude comment! Why don’t you go and make your own website and worry about that instead of putting down this site. I know I have never gone to a site just to read someone’s About Me page. Who cares what someone looks like or what they say about themselves? I go to a site because of what it can do for me and if I don’t like it, well I just don’t go again. Obviously this person is new, it says so right in the article. Give her a break! She just got here! I bet you wouldn’t make that comment to another man, would you? Shame on you.

I travel some 150 per day round trip and thought I could shoot for some extra doh ray me!!! I don’t need a new car (have two of em)…but am also not looking to pimp my own stuff or create my own wrap…Any ideas?

Hi Mommytwo, welcome to the MCB site I don’t think Robert C. meant any disrespect in what he said about getting on the ball. I do think it just came out the wrong way so it seemed more like a lecture or rather someone who is probable very organize and wants things done right away. But I still have alot of paper work and name changes to make things legal so I have to do these things at my pace. Remember some people do not like change. Thanks to all of you. JJ
P.S. Robert I did not take your comments wrong.
