The search engine benefits of blogs are universally accepted across the web design and business community. However the effort required to maintain a successful blog should not be under estimated. I have been running a few blogs since the past 8 months or so. On a regular basis I find it difficult to manage all my blogs. Realistically speaking only one of my blogs gets the required attention n a regular basis. The rest of them I am barely able to update once every 6 weeks or so just to keep them going. Having multiple blogs can certainly be useful. However it will require full time attention to be successful on search engines and to establish a user base.
